Ketu! A name that instills a sense of fear in many. In the solar system, Rahu and Ketu have no physical existence. In Vedic astrology, Rahu and Ketu are considered shadow planets.
                       According to mythology, when Lord Vishnu was distributing the nectar of immortality among the gods, a demon named Swarbhanu disguised himself as a deity and stood between the Sun and the Moon to partake in the nectar. When the Sun and the Moon informed Lord Vishnu about this, Vishnu used his Sudarshan Chakra to sever Swarbhanu's head. However, since Swarbhanu had already consumed the nectar, he became immortal in two separate parts: the head part is known as Rahu and the body part is known as Ketu.
                           The Sun and Moon deities informed Lord Vishnu about Swarbhanu's deception and consumption of the nectar. As a result of his body being severed into two parts, Swarbhanu vowed to seize any opportunity to eclipse the Sun and Moon, which is still ongoing today as solar and lunar eclipses. Modern science might not accept this mythological explanation, but if you observe the planetary positions during each solar and lunar eclipse, you'll notice that during a solar eclipse, the Sun is very close to the degree of Ketu or Rahu, and during a lunar eclipse, the Moon is near the degree of Rahu or Ketu. In other words, a solar or lunar eclipse occurs when the Sun or Moon is close to the degrees of Rahu or Ketu.
                           In the horoscope chart, Rahu and Ketu do not have their own houses. Rahu is considered a co-ruler of Aquarius, and Ketu is seen as a co-ruler of Scorpio. Some consider Taurus as Rahu's exalted house, while others believe it to be Gemini. Similarly, some consider Scorpio as Ketu's exalted house, while others regard it as Sagittarius.
                         In astrology, Ketu is associated with spirituality. Ketu is considered the planet of moksha (liberation). To connect ourselves with spirituality, we must adhere to discipline, cleanliness, religion, and moral principles. Only then can we connect with or come into the presence of the divine. Ketu serves as a medium for connecting with the divine. To align with Ketu, one must fully observe the aforementioned practices.
                  In the horoscope, the house where Ketu resides requires the individual to always adhere to religious and moral principles concerning the matters of that house. Maintaining discipline and cleanliness is essential.
                         When Ketu is positioned in the ascendant or zodiac sign, an individual can maintain happiness and peace in life by connecting themselves with spirituality and consistently adhering to discipline, cleanliness, religion, and moral principles. For those with Ketu in the ascendant or sign, it is beneficial to minimize or avoid the consumption of non-vegetarian food and to stay away from intoxicants.
                             Regardless of Ketu's position in the ascendant or zodiac sign,whether under positive or negative influence,if one consistently follows the aforementioned practices, Ketu will not cause distress.
                    Therefore, individuals with Ketu positioned in their ascendant or zodiac sign should always adhere to the principles associated with Ketu. By aligning with Ketu's attributes, happiness and peace will always be maintained in their lives.
